About Buckley's

Helping Families Through Life's Transitions with Care and Dignity

Our story

Our story

Buckley's Estate Sales was founded by Ravel and Mike, a husband-and-wife team whose passion for helping people runs as deep as their connections to the El Dorado County community. As working cattle ranchers and devoted dog owners, they understand the value of hard work, honest dealings, and treating people with respect.

Their ranching background taught them that nothing worth doing is done halfway—whether it's caring for land and livestock or helping families through difficult transitions. They bring that same dedication and integrity to every estate they manage.

Ravel and Mike started Buckley's Estate Sales because they saw families struggling with the overwhelming task of managing estates during already challenging times, and they knew they could help. Their approach is personal, compassionate, and grounded in the values they live by every day: treat others the way you'd want to be treated, work hard to do right by people, and never forget that behind every transaction is a real family with real feelings.

That's the foundation Buckley's Estate Sales is built on, and it's what makes all the difference.

Our values

At Buckley's Estate Sales, we believe that every estate tells a story, and every item deserves respect. We approach each home with genuine compassion, recognizing that our clients are often navigating loss, transition, or difficult life changes.

Your family's belongings—whether treasured heirlooms or everyday household items—are handled with the same care we would want for our own. We're committed to keeping usable items out of landfills by working tirelessly to find them new homes where they'll be valued and used again.

Through thoughtful sales practices, creative marketing, and our extensive network of buyers and dealers, we honor both the legacy of those who cherished these possessions and our responsibility to our community and environment. When you work with Buckley's, you're partnering with people who genuinely care about doing right by your family and making the most of what your loved ones left behind.

Our Philosophy

At Buckley's Estate Sales, we understand that no two estates are alike. Each family's situation is unique, shaped by different circumstances, different belongings, and different needs.

That's why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we offer a range of specialized services that we customize to match your specific estate situation—whether that means a traditional public sale, discreet private sales for valuable items, online marketing to reach national buyers, or a carefully planned combination of methods.

Our guiding principle is simple: for every usable item, there is someone who needs it. We're committed to connecting belongings with new owners who will value and use them, keeping usable items out of landfills whenever possible.

Above all, we remember that we're in the people business. Behind every estate is a family navigating loss, change, or transition. Our role is to shoulder the overwhelming task of sorting, pricing, and selling a lifetime of possessions, treating both your loved one's belongings and your family with the compassion, respect, and professionalism you deserve during a difficult time.

Our culture

We've built our team around kindness, integrity, and genuine care for the people we serve.

We understand that we're often invited into homes during some of life's most challenging moments, and we never take that trust lightly. Our staff approaches every estate with empathy and professionalism, treating each item as if it belonged to our own family. We treat every client as we would hope to be treated ourselves.

We believe in doing the right thing—even when it takes more time or effort—because character matters more than convenience.

Our culture is one of collaboration, where we work together to find creative solutions for complex situations. Our respect flows in every direction: toward our clients, their loved ones' belongings, the buyers who attend our sales, and our fellow team members.

We take great care in our work because we genuinely care about making difficult transitions a little bit easier for the families who need us. That is what makes us good at what we do.
